The Western Conference Standings has been settled this matchweek as LA Force has successfully defeated Irvine Zeta FC 2-0. A match that was decided in the second half, is now in the history books. The LA force have defeated Irvine Zeta in the last two matchups outscoring Zeta 3-0.
This match had another game with a big midfield change up shakeup with Jovel, Pineda, and Cartagena. Along with Ayden Bowers starting the second consecutive time.
With LA Force holding a 5 game win streak, the pressure was on to finish the season strong and secure first place of the Western Conference.
The first half began with multiple chances for the Force, but none slotting into the net. Force Fans showed up with high energy with the supporting group miles bigger than that for Irvine Zeta. A quiet first half would leave the game scoreless by the 45th minute mark.
n what seemed to be another close game to the 90th minute mark ended in domination by the Force. This season the LA Force has scored first in 75% of away matches. This would repeat itself with El Capitan slotting the first goal in.
In the 56th minute a deep ball allowed Salazar to break through Zeta’s final third. Salazar used his amazing ball control to slide past the defender and keeper to tap in the ball to an open goal.
Championship Soccer Stadium erupted in cheers for the Force. A big shoutout is needed for all the supporters for the Gold and Black! LA Force fans have been among NISA’s best all season and it shows once again in another amazing away game.
With Zeta applying heavy pressure and trying to keep the game at a tie the Force has to be creative with their counter attacks.
A counter would work perfectly in the 73rd minute with Bryan Ortega flicking a back heel pass toa sprinting Mouhamadou War. War would take this to the edge of the box before ripping it passed Mitchell North and scoring the second goal of the match.
War demonstrated that practice makes perfect with a beautiful shot with power. This would be the final goal of the match. LA Force win 2-0.
The result is what mattered in this match as the LA Force secured first place in the Western Conference for the first time in their history.
A match for the ages as a new era begins for the LA Force with Dekel Keinan leading the charge. A big season for the force as they now go on a 6-game winning streak, and look to hold it against Capo FC in their final home match this Saturday, September 21st.
