Now heading into their third road game in a row, the LA Force will be visiting 405 Derby rival Irvine Zeta FC in a battle that is much watch NISA soccer. The Force are now undefeated through six matches, and it will take everybody to slow down the outstanding attack by Irvine Zeta. This match will be the fifth time this season, and just the second match hosted by Irvine, that the two meet this year.

The Need To Take Down Irvine Zeta

Even through the outstanding results by Keinan’s boys on the pitch, the title race will be too close to call. This is the outcome of intensely close matches by Irvine and LA all season. Going back to game one, neither team would claim victory with 4 goals being scored in the final 20 minutes of the match, making the final score 2-2. Matches like these have been the story of the season, not one club can grab the game by the hand and finish it through. However, this will not disappoint any fans in attendance at Championship Soccer Stadium, as they are prepped for another contender for match of the season.

The record for both clubs are identical at 1-1-2, showing how even the play has been perfect for both clubs. A win for LA Force will give them a 7 point lead on the standings, and have some breathing room for the foreseeable future.

The recent matchup was one to remember, with Dekel Keinan, player and head coach, putting an outstanding header into the back of the net. The last minute set piece allowed the Force to tie the match at two goals each. Irvine Zeta players were distraught, and after the final whistle, players from both teams entered a scuffle that left a few players booked.

Veterans Memorial Stadium was filled with excitement after the late goal, but now the Force will be going down the 405 to Irvine and trying to finish the job.

LA Force’s Defensive Minds

The defense for LA Force is a division of this LA Force team that needs to be recognized for their determination to keep their team ahead.  Players like Ivan Hernandez and Garrett Hogbin, are the trusted center-backs for Keinan. In the recent game against Zeta FC, Dekel Keinan took over responsibilities for Ivan who was out for the match. As stated Dekel scored the game tying goal and we will most likely be commanding the duo from the sidelines this match. Lomeli and Shaibu Jr, have been the men on the wings preventing cutbacks and crosses all season. Shaibu Jr having experience with the top NISA clubs, he is not afraid of the pressure and will welcome it. This does not mean Lomeli is not prepared. A trusted right back for the squad, Lomeli is capable of running on both ends of the pitch. He not only defends quick wingers, but uses his pace to overlap and send crosses into the box. The defense is one of the best in all of NISA, allowing only 11 goals through 13 matches, this puts them as the second best in the league. We hope to see the best defense out there !!! Vamos Force!

2024 Regular Season Record:

9-2-2 (1st in NISA Western Conference)

Goals Scored: 27    Goals Allowed: 11   Clean Sheets: 6

Players To Keep An Eye On:

Garrett Hogbin #4: A player who could make his 9th appearance for LA Force this year, is one of the best defenders on this squad. Hogbin is now in his fourth season in NISA, and cracked the starting lineup earlier in the season. An exciting defender who uses his size well, will be hard to crack through.

Shaibu Jr #28: Shaibu Jr is one of the hearts of the LA Force team. The team embraces Shaibu Jr, and knows his technical ability is one of the best on the team.  Shaibu will be making his 9th appearance of the season.

Irvine Wants Success In First Pro Season

Irvine Zeta has created one of the best teams in all of NISA, and for a stretch of time were considered the best team in the league. A team who has been undefeated in their last 8 matches, Irvine Zeta feel as if they are unfinished with LA Force from the previous match. A dominating game for Irvine who could not hold on, this match will prove NISA fans who are the strong force of the Western Conference.

The Zeta play with playmaking midfielders who can create opportunities for others very easily, let alone the midfielders can also create for themselves. If the Zeta can pull off an upset, fans of theirs will be roaring to see if they can win a title in their first year as a professional club.

Players To Keep An Eye On:

Edson Alvarado #10: Edson was a crucial part in the near victory over LA Force last month. A goal and assist in the match, the Force struggled to contain his ability to break through the defense and create opportunities. Expect to see him this matchday as well!

2024 Regular Season Record:

Goals Scored: 23    Goals Allowed: 9   Clean Sheets: 6
