The captain of LA Force, Michael Salazar, has been listed as a part of NISA’s Best XI for the month of June. The announcement will now make Salazar a part of back-to-back Best XI lists for the month of May and July. Salazar has been showing his class on the pitch for the Force, and it comes after missing sometime earlier in the season for international duty with Belize. Salazar’s call-up to Belize’s national team was a big stepping stone for the striker, as he would go on to appear in 3 matches and score a goal against Puerto Rico. His outstanding performance against Puerto Rico provided him the opportunity to play against Nicaragua in a World Cup Qualifier. After aiding a Belize team to a 1-1-1 record, Salazar would return to Los Angeles to captain an LA Force team looking to take all the glory in NISA.
NISA announced the squad this past Tuesday, July 16th, and it was revealed that Salazar was just 1 of 3 players who represented the Western Conference of NISA. Salazar has been in marvelous form and it shows as he has scored in his last two matches. Scoring twice in his two matches played most definitely secured him the spot as one of the best forwards in June. The striker’s record can aid Keinan’s LA Force team against Irvine Zeta this upcoming Saturday, as his presence will surely disrupt the Zeta defense. Keinan needs his captain to push this squad to new heights and Salazar is ready for it.
