La Quinta, CA (February 17, 2023) – NISA Nation announces Desert Futbol Club will compete in the Southwest Region for the 2023 Spring Season.

Formed in 2020, Desert FC participated for the first time in the qualifying rounds for the 2023 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, winning its first two matches and changing the club’s trajectory.

“Our organization takes great pride in supporting the goals of our many outstanding athletes around the Coachella Valley,” Desert FC found Zach Holliday said. “We want to help players move on to the next level of play and be successful in their journey. NISA Nation provides a substantial pathway to pro for players, and we feel NISA Nation is working to be something very special for the future of the sport and the growth of NISA as a whole. We’re excited to be entering NISA Nation.”

Desert FC intends to continue operating developmental teams in the UPSL. The club also features a boys youth academy.
