Olympiacos CA Joins NISA Nation

Published Jan 24, 2023

Huntington Beach, CA (January 24, 2023) – NISA Nation announces Olympiacos CA will participate in the Southwest Region for the 2023 Season.

Formed in 2012 as Southern California FC Impact, the club became an official academy and soccer school of famous Greek club Olympiacos F.C. in 2014. Strictly a youth organization until 2019, Olympiacos CA was the Southwest Premier League’s 2022 Spring Season champions and participated in the 2022 NISA Independent Cup.

“With the support of Olympiacos we were able to create a strong and professional program while sending our best players to try out for top academies in Europe,” Olympiacos CA owner George Frousiakis said. “Our success as league champions for SWPL and our status as a serious adult team caught the attention of Olympiacos in Greece and they felt there was a conflict of interest with patent and copyrights and so we chose to mutually end our affiliation while keeping our contacts, friendly relationships and the brand Olympiacos CA. Now we’re looking to grow into the professional ranks in the U.S., and we’re proud to be taking this step as part of the NISA organization.”

Olympiacos CA Boys 2005 were last year’s Cal South State ‘National’ Cup champions and are headed to Dallas Cup XLIII in April. The team currently plays in the USYSA National League.

“Many of our players are a product of our youth organization over the last decade, and we train some of the best young athletes in Southern California every year,” Frousiakis said.

The club also will continue to operate two reserve teams in the Southwest Premier League.
