CHICAGO (October 22, 2021) – NISA (National Independent Soccer Association) Nation today takes another step in its mission to create a nationwide amateur-to-pro incubator league with the activation of the Southwest Region. Four clubs will play six matches in a double round-robin format beginning October 30.

“It has been an incredibly rewarding journey so far for the NISA Nation team and the clubs who are embarking with us,” says NISA Nation Western Regions Manager Matt Morse. “These are clubs that have been growing in their communities as organizations and institutions. Participation will accelerate their growth as for everyone involved from the pitch to the front office.”

NISA Nation, a full-year league providing amateur independent clubs a groundbreaking path to professional status, launched its first region – the Northeast – last month. It is currently halfway through its inaugural table.

The Southwest Region inaugural clubs include Chula Vista FC (Chula Vista, Calif.), FC Golden State Force (Pomona, Calif.), Las Vegas Legends (Las Vegas), and Valley United FC U-23 (Scottsdale, Ariz.). Notably, FC Golden State is affiliated with NISA club LA Force, and Valley United FC’s senior squad will begin pro play in NISA in spring of 2022.

The Southwest Region schedule runs through Jan. 08, 2022. NISA Nation soon expects to announce two more regions that would begin play in spring of 2022.
